I finally made an icon for my Danny Phantom/Harry Potter story. Still working on the new chapter, hopefully it should be done before I go back to school.
My art skills do not include actual drawing, so photoshop/editing is my forte. Considering the fact that I have Harry and Danny as brothers, and Harry is real whereas Danny is a cartoon, I figured CGI was a good cross to bring it together, and Jack ended up being a really great base. I’m pretty happy with how it came out :)
So this is what happened when I was doing research for my philosophy paper…all of these topics are very scholarly :)
Funny story, because there’s a phenomenal fanfiction that combines these two.

I’ve been pretty inactive in the last few weeks, as evidenced by the lack of FanFic posts, and the constant draining of my queue. The reason for this is that I have been extremely stressed out in the past few weeks, and my lack of sleep was not Tumblr related (I know, weird). My college runs on a 7 week term schedule for classes, so missing a class can be disastrous. Unfortunately, I missed a full week of class due to being sick. I’ve been spending all my time trying to catch up, and it has really taken its toll on me.
That being said, it’s now finals week.
I’m still up to my neck in make up work, therefore I have made the decision to lock myself out of Tumblr, as well as Facebook and FanFiction. Knowing the lack of self control that I have, I will be giving my account to a friend of mine, and she will be changing the password so I cannot access it until the end of finals Friday afternoon. I won’t have my queue going, because it seems like a waste of posts that I can use when I’m actively posting. When I return, prepare for an onslaught, because I have missed Tumblr and I have missed giving my FanFic insights.

I just had an epiphany about Dan, and I had to share.
So, when Danny’s ghost half gets ripped out of him, some people were probably wondering, “Why the heck is Danny’s ghost half evil? I mean, their explanation was that Plasmius’s evil side overwhelmed him when they merged, but Phantom had to have been evil before that to have even considered doing that to Vlad.
I also remembered that ghosts have an obsession. Skulker with hunting, Walker with rules, Ember with music, Box Ghost with boxes, etc. Many people have said that Danny’s obsession is protecting people, thus why Phantom tries so hard to protect Amity Park.
But unlike ghosts, humans can change their opinions, and also obsessions. As a half-ghost, Danny’s ghostly obsession can change under extreme provocation, like his family and friends being killed and him feeling really guilty.
At the time of separation, Danny’s only wish was to remove his emotions because they were too painful to deal with. His obsession at that point was to lose his humanity, and to remove human emotions/humanity in general.
Which is why Phantom rips out Vlad’s ghost half: to rid him of his humanity and make him a pure ghost of just Plasmius and getting rid of human Vlad. Obviously he failed (though he succeeded in killing Danny’s human half), and when the two ghosts combined, Plasmius’s own obsessions merged with Phantom’s hating humanity.
Thus Dan Phantom was born.

People have probably already figured this out, but I just wanted to share the moment of me figuring it out on my own ^_^
Day Post 10: Favorite Fenton Gadget - Fenton Thermos
Does the Op Center count? I don’t know if this would have been my choice even if it did count, but the Op Center is pretty awesome in its own right. It can turn into a blimp, which can change into a jet, which can turn into ATVs. Not to mention, it’s a fully equipped radio station (sadly only on the air for a couple hours).
I like the Fenton Crammer for the sole reason that Danny Phantom in a normal teenage outfit looked cool, but that’s about it.
You have to love the Fenton Ghost Portal, because without it the show wouldn’t exist, and I have an appreciation for the Fenton Anti-Creep Stick, because it’s a bat (with the word “Fenton” on it) and I’m softball player/baseball lover.
That all being said, my favorite gadget has to be the Fenton Thermos. It’s a soup thermos for crying out loud, and it holds ghosts. That’s just awesome.
My second favorite is definitely the Fenton Ghost Gabber, mostly because of a fanfic I posted back on Day Post 5 of the Challenge. ^_^
Oh, and I can’t go without bringing up this reason for loving the Fenton Thermos: my favorite baddie is still trapped in one.
